Very new to all of this so forgive me if this is a dumb question.

I already have pictures organized on my server into categories in folders. Is there a way to have a folder become a album and the pictures in the folder be in that album without having to add one pic at a time? I have hundreds of pictures and hope I don't have to add one at a time. It would be helpful especially when I add several dozen a week of my new little girl for family to see.

Pretty much I would like to be able to have a folder and be able to point coppermine to it that folder and its contents.

Hope that made since. Sorry to lower everyones IQ. ;)

The functionality you need is called Batch Add in Coppermine. You can add pictures you already have. The only missing thing from Batch Add is creation of albums based on the folder structure. You will have to do that manually from album manager section.

Read Batch Add from docs for more details.
