Hi,

I have checked the docs, FAQ and searched the Forum but I can't find a solution. I have downloaded a couple of extra themes and un-tarred them into my "theme" folder. They are not appearing in the "Select Theme" drop-down list in the Gallery or on the Admin page. I guess I am missing a simple step here? I tried restarting my webserver and changing the name of the cookie but no luck so far

I am using 1.4.13 on Linux

Did you untar it and then upload the content of the tar to your theme folder or did you upload the entire folder structure ?

If you get a theme which is zipped or tarred like this: name_of the_theme_version2.zip it usually has a folder inside of it named name_of_the_theme
and that folder should be uploaded within the theme folder.

And do upgrade to 1.4.14 asap

Posting a link to your gallery and what themes you have added might help as well.

Thanks for the quick replies. I am trying out the gallery locally and don't have the facilities (yet) at my ISP to make it available externally.  Here is a view of my themes folder (I have added avalanche and blix) and the contents of blix.

duh, user error  had two gallery directories and copied the theme to the wrong one! All working OK now.
