Additional to the above post on permissions issue when trying to include FTP loaded file : all write authorisations are OK and have been checked. Could this be linked to the number of files ? - it seems i also have some other issues (not permanent) on authorisations (2nd example on user tab access You don't have permission to access this page.

File: /home/balaine/www/cpg135/usermgr.php - Line: 45 ) - where to look for resolution ?

Are you using version 1.3.5?

Check with your webhost if they use any security patch such as suhosin or hardened php.

After a few checks i found suhosin in the php5 directory . I am using coppermine 1.4.14 (the latest version if i'm not mistaken) and the latest version of php.

How do i know if the plugin's activated or not ? I tried to vim a few files but i didn't see any value that enables the plugin anywhere ...

What plugin are you talking about? Post a link to your gallery for a start. In fact, do as suggested in the upload troubleshooting section of the docs.
