Problems with Coppermine - SMF bridge
« on: November 01, 2007, 09:20:05 pm »

I have the following issue when trying to bridge coppermine and SMF:

I've got the bridge working between CPG and SMF, however, if you close the gallery down using the browser close button (white cross in red box) the bridge seems to fail. Going back to the forum shows that you are logged in but not logged in when you go back to the gallery. Only way around it that I can see is to either wait for the 60 minutes SMF login time to expire (assuming that is selected) or force a logout by clearing cookies. Does anyone know if this is a known issue and how to resolve it?

Coppermine install: http://davidbrennan.co.uk/epv3/coppermine
Forum install: http://davidbrennan.co.uk/epv3/simplemachinesforum
Coppermine version: cpg1.4.13
Forum version: SMF1.1.4
Test user account: test/ dummyacc1

BridgeManager settings:
Forum URL:  http://davidbrennan.co.uk/epv3/simplemachinesforum
Relative path to your BBS's config file:  ../simplemachinesforum/
Use post-based groups?:  0

Thanks in advance.

Try enabling subdomain independent cookies in SMF.

Sorry Nibbler, meant to post I'd solved it about 15 mins after I originally posted.

You were right though, needed to disable locally stored cookies. Made sure the bridge was disabled before I did though as I had a nasty feeling it might lock everything up if I changed the cookie setup while it was active. Might not have but I did it anyway  ;)

You can mark this as resolved now.
