is their anyway to add a additional button that users can click on next to the search button?

Sure. Has been asked and answered often already. Not related to install, that's why your thread got moved. Depends on the theme you use. Post a link to your gallery for a start.

i got it to work from the link to add a contact page but i can't seem to get it to work after the search button i can get it before and in from of the album but not behind search i've tried messing around with placement but it doesn't seem to work is their any kind of special code taht's different from the rest of the buttons , it creates a weird button that doesn't go smoothly with the rest.
