prevent users from deleting files in their private albums?

Hi-

i've been using cpg1.4.10 for about a year now.  we have users who upload their files to a private album and then link those photos to a fairly active site.

Is it possible to allow users to have private albums yet prevent them from deleting their photos/albums once they are uploaded?  i would like photo/album deletion to go through a moderator/admin process to prevent disruptions to the secondary site (image ownership is not an issue).  i looked at the documentation for the mod to add moderators to user albums but it wasn't clear to me if this would solve the problem (plus it looked tricky to me, but my tech skills are limited).  i'd be so grateful for any input...

Not related to your question, but anyway: it's absolutely mandatory that you upgrade in the first place!
