Help please......
« on: August 16, 2007, 08:28:01 am »

 ;D

Hi there folks....

I have just recently decided to add a picture gallery to my existing php website and chose coppermine.....

I have no problems installing it to the site, so not to sure i am posting in the correct forum here, i do appologise if i am in the wrong forum...  :-\

What I would like to know is:

Is it at all possible to install coppermine to my existing php installation and use the user database and login details from that installation as opposed to separate login details for existing php and coppermine?

for example if i were to login to my site on my home page, when i click photo gallery i will automatically get logged into coppermine as opposed to re-logging into coppermine.

Thanks in advance for any help. :)

That's what we call bridging - read it up in the docs. There is a number of pre-made bridge files that come with coppermine. If you use another way of authentification, you'll have to come up with a custom bridge file.
Moving thread accordingly. Please use a better thread subject in the future.
