I want to create more space between the categorie thumbnail and the categorie title and description. I changed several
items in the theme file and the stylesheet but I can't seem to find the right item to change.

I see a blank page - you should not delete the english language file.

What do you mean by blank page. The english language file is installed.

I now see what you mean. I only got the english_gb file installed. I added
the english file as well.

It's there now (it was missing for me before, too).  You fixed it.

Turn the language fallback feature off if you don't need it. You then won't need any other language file but the one you actually want to offer. Not related to your initial question though.
