Instead of 1 Column, 3 columns.
« on: March 14, 2004, 09:32:30 pm »

Hi i've modded an existing theme a little but i really want to have three columns instead of the one that there is on every theme.

http://r3wind.com/coppermine/  is what i have at the moment.

i want to have three columns,

the cats
random pics
last additions

side by side.  obviously i'm only gonna have a few images of a certain size so they fit in side by side.  Is this possible?  - how would i go about it.

I've looked but that themes.php is just cryptic and i've looked at faqs etc but nothing easy for a php newbie like me.

Cheers,
Phil

sorry, can't be done with modifications to theme.php alone, since the nesting of tables is all over the place in the coppermine core code. There have been thoughts on eliminating this concept, creating a table-less theme and coppermine core (search the board for "tableless AND theme"), but this discussion is only theoretical at the moment and will have to be done in future versions of coppermine.
In other words: this can't be done (easily) at the moment.

Ok, no problem - thanks for spending the time to post a reply - i'll wait to see a version comes about with it in.   Until then i'll use in the format it comes which btw works very well indeed.

Thanks for such a great bit of code.
