Duplicate pictures when doing Batch Import
« on: July 17, 2007, 02:17:31 pm »

I've got a question regarding the batch import function:

After I selected the "batch import" and the folder I want to import I get the list with all the images in the folder.
Now I can select which of the pictures in the folder I want to import.

This is where a strange error occurs ->
I have got two copies of every image which have got a different name
For exmaple "buch0005.jpg" and "__buch0005.jpg" or "test0005.jpg" and "__test0005.jpg"

To finish the import I've got to uncheck all the Files which beginn with "__"
That's really annoing when I want to import 100+ images at a time!

There are no thumbnails created from the images which begin with "__"

I work on a Mac System - the Server with coppermine is running Windows
I think these files are hidden pictures which are created by Mac OSX and then are copied to the Windows Server because when I work on the windows server I can see these hidden files!

Does anyone know to suppress these hidden pictures/files from beeing created?

thanks, Tom

Do exactly as suggested in the upload troubleshooting section of the docs. Additionally, post a deep link to one of the files you're having issues with. Usually, this happens if your file names contain illegal characters.
Moving from misc to uploads sub-board.
