Stylesheet has no effect

Hi, hope I'm posting in the right place.

The problem is this: I used the classic theme to make a new theme entirely and I'm experienced with css and html but am still not great with them. Whenever I load my gallery everything is fine but then when I click to go to view an album the stylesheet doesn't have any effect. Theres no background colour and the text and links are defaulted.

If I refresh the page then it all goes back to normal but the next page I go to its gone wrong again.

I have no idea whats going on, my stylesheet is linked correctly but I don't know what else to check.
