Categories controlling album permissions

Is there a mod available that will allow the categories to control the albums that are linked to them, instead of the albums controlling themselves?  It would to be able to edit each album and/or all albums within the category at the same time.. 

I searched the boards, but couldn't find what I was looking for..

Permissions go by album, not by category, as you already know. Afaik there's no mod (yet) that does what you're up to, sorry.
