Problem with german letters upgrade 1.3.5->1.4.12

Hello,

i have a little (i hope so!!) problem with the upgrade from 1.3.5 -> 1.4.12

I told my father not to use letters like üöäß in filenames, photo describtions coppermine titel- etc., but he used them many many times.

After the upgrade all german letters like üöäß looking �.  ???

Anyone an idea what i can do?

In which aspect does this thread differ from the thread "Problem Sonderzeichen beim upgrade 1.3.5 auf 1.4.12" that you started on the German support board that got answered already? Don't cross-post - you cause double moderation effort! Closing thread and marking accordingly.
