help needed

i have set up a category  called other uni photos and what a group called uni people to upload there photos to that category, as they go in to the user gallery at the moment, thxs for the help :-)

i have a category  called other uni photos. i have also set up a user group called uni people.  what i want them to be able to do is when they have uploaded there photos there will go into the category  called other uni photos and not the User galleries.  is this posible

Photos don't go into categories but albums. You could create albums in that category and allow users to upload into that albums.

i have had a look at what i think needs to be done, i had a look in Album permissions by group but it is blank and cant add or change anythign in there

Visitors doesn't mean "guests", but "people who are allowed to upload, depending on your settings in the groups panel". RTFM!
