IE7 has eaten my Nav Menu...
« on: June 22, 2007, 04:14:54 am »

My new site:

www.hairyu.com

looks fine in Firefox, but an important feature is not showing up in Internet Explorer 7: my Nav menu! So basically, IE7 users can't login, and so on  :'(

In Firefox, it appears correctly - as a horizontal list, flush right, directly under the banner.

In IE7, it does not appear at all.

Also, when I click on the banner a few times in IE (which I did in frustration), I noticed that parts of the banner image get blanked out, where as clicking on it in Firefox does nothing (as it should).

I've tried fiddling with the colors, the fonts, banner height, space between the banner and the menu... with no joy.

Any ideas?

Thanks for your help.

well, I found the problem and an unsatisfactory temporary fix...

I had a background image loading in the "main" portion of the page and I deleted it for now. So the Nav menu shows up in IE7, but the site doesn't quite have the look it once did.

 :-\

Is there anyway to force the background into the background and the menu into the foreground?
