Hello,

I have one question. I use Coppermine Gallery 1.4. I want to hide some of albums (to be exactly - gategorys), that only a speficied group users can see that gategory and albums.

I remember, that I could manage to to this in CPG 1.3.5, but now I can't do this. I couldn't find this.

I hope You, Guys-And-Girls, understand me - beacuse my English isn't very good.

Permission in Coppermine are based on albums, not on category. Therefor, you can't set permissions by category. Not possible in cpg1.4.x, hasn't been possible in cpg1.3.x nor any other previous version.
Use the album properties to set permissions. Please refer to the docs, this is being explained there.

But I know exactly that I did that in my last gallery.. Guests didn't saw one gallery, but when I logged in as an administrator, I sawed it..
But what I need - that isn't in Album properties. Only thing what is there is that "Allow guests comment,rate etc pictures"..

Permissions for commenting, rating etc. is being determined in the groups control panel. Permissions to view an album is being determined using by clicking on the "properties" button next to the thumbnail that represents a particular album. Then change "Album can be viewed by" from "Everybody (public album)" to "Members of the registered group". Finally, save your changes. As suggested, this is being covered in the documentation, please read it before asking further questions. You can only assign permissions to albums, but not to categories.
Has been this way in cpg1.3.x. Is this way in cpg1.4.x. Will be this way in cpg1.5.x. Saying that it used to be different in older versions is just nonsense. I know the app Coppermine pretty well back from cpg1.0 till now. Unless you used a custom hack in cpg1.3.x, you must be remembering this wrong.
