phpBB2 logging in / direction
« on: April 28, 2007, 02:27:15 pm »

I have the following issue when trying to bridge Coppermine and phpBB2:

From Coppermine I click Login which takes me to the phpBB login page; I log in but am then taken to the domain's base page. When I go to either Coppermine or phpBB I am not logged in.

Coppermine install: http://fazermania.co.uk/foc/cpg1410/
Forum install: http://fazermania.co.uk/foc/phpBB2/
Coppermine version: cpg1.4.10
Forum version: phpBB v2.0.22
Test user account: Farjo / viaduct

BridgeManager settings:
Forum URL:  http://fazermania.co.uk/foc/phpBB2
Relative path to your BBS's config file:  ../phpBB2/
Use post-based groups?:  0
Cookie name/preifx: phpbb2mysql

In phpBB the cookie domain is '.fazermania.co.uk', the cookie name is 'phpbb2mysql' and the cookie path is '/'. I have cleared my cache and cookies.

Possibly I've looked at this for so long I can no longer see the obvious, in which case apologies in advance.

Thank you.

Probably caused by your use of frames. Coppermine can't read cookies set on .fazermania.co.uk if you run it from an IP address.

Thanks for the reply - no idea what it means but thanks  ;D

I've been using someone else's webspace temporarily so don't know about "running it from an IP address". Will try it elsewhere and see how it goes.
