can I just ask, what's the difference between a "mod" and  a "plugin"? Which is the best / easiest to install?

Called Onlinestats...http://forum.coppermine-gallery.net/index.php?topic=26532.0 - believe there are couple of version for sure available.  Search the boards as suggested, and you will find the answers...
