Congratulations for this amazing product !

Iīm trying to use in Brazil - South America(sorry for my poor english language), but i had some problem.
I read the documentation, checking the permissions of the directories and read almost all this forum.

Itīs installed and working nice, but i canīt change the properties the select box 'album can be seen by'!
I created a album, post some photos and go to the properties album optionīs.
After making the change in the select box 'album can be seen by'(to registered group, for example),
clicked the updateīs button , received the answer "No update needed." and the properties is switched back to 'me only' again.

Thanks in advanced for any help.

Post a link to your gallery for a start. Permissions on file/folder level mustn't be confused with logical permissions in Coppermine.

Are you using album passwords? If you have your gallery set for registered users only you should post a test user account.

I am having the same problem but I don't understand, by reading this thread how the problem was solved.

I have a gallery, I want certain albums viewable by members of certain groups.  I created the groups, went to album properties, changed "Album can be viewed by" to the correct group from the drop down,  set a password, clicked "update album" and it said "Album Updated".  Clicked continue, went back to album properties and the "Album can be viewed by" was set to "Me Only".  I checked all files were chmod'd correctly and I created 2 test users (one with group access, one without) to see if I could view the files and went to the appropriate album and it said "no image to display" for both.

Than for some reason, after I've tried doing the same thing about 15 times, out of the blue it suddenly works and the "Album can be viewed by" will stay at the one I chose. 

I would really appreciate it if someone could explain that one to me!

From the manual:

Note: when setting an album password, the permission dropdown field "Album can be viewed by" will be switched automatically to "me only" - this is expected behaviour. If you change the "Album can be viewed by" to another selection, you must disable the album password as well.
