« on: March 26, 2007, 06:47:31 pm »

Hello.

I've been reading faq and forum a lot, but still didn't find the solution for my problem.

I have:

coppermine 1.4.10 on : http://foto.mysite.com

phpbb 2.0.22 on : http://forum.mysite.com

Is it possible to bridge these two?? and how?

I desperatly need this, because coppermine is the best gallery and i want to use it..

Please help.

Thank you.

Yes

and how?
The very first thing to read should be the documentation. It's fine that you have read the FAQ, but it's mandatory to read the docs before asking questions. There is a bridging section as well.

Bridging on subdomains works exactly the same way as "regular" bridging works. You'll have to figure out how the sub-domains on your server are set up (folder-wise). Usually, sub-domains just equal sub-folders, so if for example the webroot (http://mysite.com/) equals /opt/mysite.com/htdocs/, then http://foto.mysite.com/ equals /opt/mysite.com/htdocs/foto/. For details on sub-domains and corresponding folders on the webserver, ask your webhost.

For details on bridging, do as suggested in the sticky thread "When requesting bridge support - mandatory!" on this very sub-board (reading sticky threads that are named that way should really not be ignored - they are there for a particular reason... ::)). Don't post dummy placeholders, but actual data.

I have the following issue when trying to bridge coppermine and phpbb:

Coppermine install: http://foto.mojabivsa.com/
Forum install: http://forum.mojabivsa.com
Coppermine version: cpg1.4.10
Forum version: phpBB 2.0.22
Test user account: test / test1

BridgeManager settings:
Forum URL:  http://forum.mojabivsa.com
Relative path to your BBS's config file:  http://forum.mojabivsa.com/
Use post-based groups?:  0

I tried this...but no luck.
Both forum.mojabivsa.com and foto.mojabivsa.com are on the same server. Just folders for them selves.

Cookie domain should be .mojabivsa.com in phpbb. Clear your existing cookies after making the change.

Enter a relative path, not an URL.

As Nibbler pointed out: this is expected behaviour. It's exactly what bridging is about. Nothing wrong.

Marking thread as "solved".
