erm, are you running your own server? Only the server admin can install ImageMagick for you. If you're webhosted (as most users are), you simply can't install ImageMagick.
If you actually are running your own server, then give some additional information - see http://coppermine.sourceforge.net/faq.php?q=howtoask#howtoask

The path to ImageMagick should not have any spaces - if you're on a windows server, you mustn't install to something like
Quote
c:\Program Files\ImageMagick\
Please do as I told you and give some additional info on your server - we won't be able if you don't.

EDIT (casper).  You MUST NOT put your ftp account logon, or coppermine admin account and passwords on this or any board.  It leaves you wide open to attack.

If we need it we will ask for you to send it by PM.

Code: [Select]
Error:
An error has occurred in includes/init.php:

It is still a security risk, but if you want to take the risk.

I started to have a look for you, but the site went down.

A couple of questions.

1.  Are the pics in your folders within the size parameters set in config.  Sometimes large images cannot be dealt with even if they are, if the server memory allowance is low (usually about 8mb).

2  Do you have GD installed.  I was going to test this when your site went down.

Sorry about the site going down..
It is gonna be down for the rest of today ( it is morning now )

I dont have GD, i have imageMagick. If GD is better,i can try to install that altso..

If you still wanna help me out Casper, perhaps i can give you Remote Desktop login, so you can fix it, while i can see whats happening. So i learn something to :)

Anyway, is there a way i can contact you ?? ICQ.. MSN .. or something ?
When it comes back up ( 8 hours from now )

Thank u..

To be honest, I'm not the one to be messing with others code or server set-up.  I will certainly look into your coppermine config if you want.

GD has the advantage of being easier on the processor, and once installed correctly, no path is needed.  It cannot handle gif files yet though, and Imagemagick provides slightly higher quality thumbs etc.

You can PM me, if you want, with logon details, and a time when the server will be up and running, preferably UK or European time.
