I'm running 1.4.10

Documentation says on the update album screen I should have a 'Album can be viewed by' option so i can restrict who views the album, but this option is missing! Do I need to set something else to get this option to appear or is this a bug?

"If you have set "Users can can have private albums" to YES on the config page, you can determine who will have permission to view the files of this album."
