Integration with SMF 1.1
« on: February 10, 2007, 02:48:39 pm »

I have run the bridge manager as directed to integrate the forum and gallery.  Here are the settings:

Coppermine install: http://www.chinadigitalscrapbooks.com/gallery
Forum install: http://www.chinadigitalscrapbooks.com/forums
Coppermine version: cpg1.4.10
Forum version: 1.1.1
Test user account: test_user/testing

BridgeManager settings:
Forum URL:  http://www.chinadigitalscrapbooks.com/forums
Relative path to your BBS's config file:  ../forums/
Use post-based groups?:  0

When I click login in CPG, it redirects me to the SMF login, but when I go back to the gallery, I'm not logged in.  If I click the login button, it takes me back to SMF and shows that I'm logged in, but again, back to the gallery and I'm not.

Help, please?

Um, well, that did solve the forums to gallery problem, but now when going back from gallery to forum, I get kicked out.

Help again, please?

Bridge is not enabled - can't test anything.

I have no idea why it wasn't enabled, but it should be now.  Now it is losing me between forums and gallery again.  I am logged in in the forums, when I go to the gallery, I'm not.  If I go back to the forums, it takes me to the login screen, but shows me as logged in.

Works fine for me, make sure you cleared your cookies.

Hmmm.  Okay, I opened Firefox and it works for me now, too.  I'm using Opera on a Mac and even after I cleared the cookies, it didn't work there, but it did in Firefox, so it's the browser, not the integration.

Thanks for all the help!

Okay, cleared all cookies on Opera and still didn't work, so I gave up on that browser...but now it isn't working in Firefox, either.  I even cleared my cookies there.  Login takes me to SMF login, I login, then go to gallery and am not logged in...help?

So I disabled it and enabled it again and it works...is this going to be an ongoing issue?  Any ideas why this keeps happening?

Thanks!
