How do I enable comments?
« on: September 26, 2006, 08:50:02 pm »

This is going to sound silly, I disabled the comments and now want to enable them but can't remember where I changed that option...

How do I enable comments?

Under Comments Settings I have:

Filter bad words in comments      Yes     No
Allow smiles in comments    Yes    No
Allow several consecutive comments on one file from the same user (disable flood protection)    Yes    No
Max number of lines in a comment
Maximum length of a comment
Notify admin of comments by email    Yes    No
Sort order of comments    ascending    descending
Prefix for anonymous comments authors

But no option to enable them.

OK, I checked my groups setting and I have comments enabled for all groups... i still don't see anyway to post a comment.

This is a pretty much new install, I haven't made any modifications to the files.. I'm using a custom theme, but the comments don't show up in Classic either.

OK, I figured it out too.  Here's what I missed, for anyone that may have this problem in the future.

Just because you have Comments set to YES in the groups config, you have to select YES for "Visitors can post comments" in the individual album's configuration..  Uhg, can that be any more redundant?
