FireFox Issue Mehdis Bridge - Joomla to Coppermine
« on: August 02, 2007, 03:09:45 am »

I have the following issue when trying to bridge coppermine and Joomla using Mehdis Bridge: http://www.mehdiplugins.com/misc/index.htm

No error messages: This bridge works with all my internet explorer users but users of FireFox are not being logged into the gallery through Joomla.

Coppermine install: http://www.haunted-devon.co.uk/membership/gallery/
Forum install: http://www.haunted-devon.co.uk/members-portal/forum/
Coppermine version: cpg1.4.10
Forum version: phpBB 2.0.21
Test user account: test / test

BridgeManager settings:
Forum URL:  http://www.haunted-devon.co.uk/members-portal
Relative path to your BBS's config file: ../../members-portal/
Use post-based groups?: 1
Cookie name/preifx (default /)

We only support our own software here. If you have issues with third party code you need to seek support form them.

Coppermine version: cpg1.4.10
Upgrade, most recent version is cpg1.4.12

Forum version: phpBB 2.0.21
As far as I understand, Mehdi's bridge is suppossed to bridge Coppermine and the authentification mechanisms built into Joomla. It was not designed to bridge Coppermine and phpBB. Try using the phpBB bridge that comes with coppermine instead, bridging coppermine and your forum, not coppermine and joomla.
