How do you limit the site of the slideshow
« on: February 23, 2004, 10:01:39 am »

The slideshow is a real problem on my site. It expands it a certain way i dont want it to. So I want to restrict it so it only shows 2 or 3 images at a time instead of 5. Anybody help?

I think you mean the filmstrip, not the slideshow.

To change the number of thumbs shown in the filmstrip, login as admin, go to config, and look for 'Number of items in film strip'.  Change the number there, or you can turn it off.

Yes, again it's in config.  You can set the width OR the height, but not both(available in next version I believe, along with cropping and rotating).

Look for 'Use dimension ( width or height or Max aspect for thumbnail )*' and set it to width.  In the box above, 'Max dimension of a thumbnail *', the size you set, example 100, would mean that all thumbnails will be 100 pixels wide (unless the original pic is smaller)

If you change these settings, they will only affect new thumbs, not those already done.  If you want to do the existing thumbs, you need to use the resize utility, after you make the above changes.

Please in future, keep to one thread, one question, and see if you can find it in the docs first.
