Am beginning Coppermine for 1st time - Could use some advice
« on: November 15, 2006, 12:42:11 am »

I am an owner of a e-commerce site which is currently published.   My web host has steered me into using Coppermine for all of my gallery pics and shopping cart system.

Am looking for someone knowledgable on Coppermine to handle some questions before I begin and ease the process on this massive project.

Maybe it's better to ask it this way ;)
Are you using Postnuke integration version ?
Or do you want to use coppermine with your PostNuke site?

I am soooo new at this.  I'm not sure if I'm using Postnuke or what.   How can I tell this too?

You would know if you were using it. If you don't know what it is, you're probably not using it. The reason we ask is that you posted in a category called pnCPG, which is for the Post Nuke version of Coppermine. Please think of more specific questions and post them in the correct forum categories. If you want to pay someone, go to the Freelancer board.

Phew!!! I'm glad someone started this topic!!!

I have started my own forum, and the host I have offered "Coopermine" for all my photos. I'm VERY new in this whole online thing, and so far I have 2 questions which I sooooooo hope someone can answer, cuz I have NO CLUE  :-[

1) I have managed to Upload all of my photos. Now how do I get the members to see it?? Is it somehow possible to have like the picture thumbnails with Explanation that they could click and see all the other photos?? Do you guys know how it works with SMF 1.1 RC3 ??

2) IF it ever gets on my forum, how do I make sure that ONLY members of my forum can see it, and not anyone else (to be a member on my forum- you have to register; and guests are limited to what they can see)

ANY HELP would be grately appreciated!!! Thanks so much in advance  :)

Not related to postnuke nor pnCPG. Not a clever idea to reply to a closed topic. Locking. *sigh*
