Since my gallery is divided into categories where users can upload photos into public albums, I would like to add a text link on users profile page, (below the thumbnail of the last uploaded by the user), linking to all photos uploaded by that user.

I guess it is profile.php that needs to be edited, but i'm not to familiar with php so I don't know how to do this. I would appreciate some guidance.

the last uploaded picture thumb itself actually takes you to all the pics uploaded by that user.

Yes I know. I just would like to create a text link below it because some users don't realise that by clicking the thumbnail will take them to "all photos by that user"
