broken image on install.php, sql error- please help

Hello,
I'm trying to install Coppermine to a subdirectory of my domain.  When I go to install.php, the image at the top of the page is broken.
Then when I input all of my sql information, etc. and press enter the next page says
Fatal error: Call to undefined function: remove_remarks() in (path) on line 476

Can anyone help please?

Check if you have sql_parse.php under include folder or not
also check your whole gallery for any other missing file

I guess the files just didn't upload properly.  I typed in the url of the header image on the install page, and it still wouldn't load.  I deleted everything from the server and re uploaded, and everything is fine so far.
