How to fix a particular issue I had (read-only mysql table)

Now this may not fix your issue, but it did for me. :-)

If you ever have a problem with your album's database, and you get errors such as table is read only or "You don't have permission to access this page" try the following command if you have access to the mysql admin files:

mysqladmin flush-tables

My problem was that when I did a repair, it compacted the database, but needed that command to run in order to reset everything. Good luck!

[regarding *nix platforms]

It also helps to have the correct permissions...

"chmod correct-user databasedir/*"

example:

cd /var/db/mysql/exampledb/
chmod mysql *
mysqladmin flush-tables
