Login to CPG redirects to forums...
« on: October 10, 2006, 10:04:22 am »

Hello,

I am having login issues after the bridge process:

When i go to the forum and log in... it will log me in.
Now, if i try to visit the photogallery, it will redirect me to the forum index page.

And If i directly try to visit the gallery page, it will redirect me to the forum index page.

Not sure what can be the issue? should i have 1 database for both applications?

kindly sugges...

Coppermine install: http://www.mydomain.com/photogallery/
Forum install: http://www.mydomain.com/forum/
Coppermine version: cpg1.4.9
Forum version: PHPBB 2.0.21

BridgeManager settings:
Forum URL:  http://www.mydomain.com/forum/
Relative path to your BBS's config file:  ../forum/
Use post-based groups?:  NO
Cookie name : phpbb2mysql

I will appreciate the help

I don't know what the problem is, all your settings seem correct. Make sure you are using the correct bridge for your phpbb version. You get the redirect when you visit the gallery because you have it set that way in config (allow unlogged access = no).

actually what happens is that when i log in from the forum and then visit the gallery... it will still rediret me to the forums index page.

however, if i log in as an admin from the forum... and then go to the gallery... it would accept me as an admin...

I can see all the users and groups of the forums from the CPG admin section.

i am using seperate database for both the application, is this an issue?

Right, it doesn't recognise you as a user and so it redirects you.

No.

I have corrected my issue. SMALL typo in the cookie setting.

Default phpbb cookie setting: phbb2mysql NOT phpbbmysql

Right, it doesn't recognise you as a user and so it redirects you.

but then, how does it recognise me when i log into the forum as an Admin User?
