Removing the Category Albums Files Table + Albums Files data
« on: September 21, 2006, 01:20:48 am »

Hello,

I may wish to remove the table that says Category Albums Files . As well as the requsite data that appears below the Albums and Files Column.

Category stays - figures go.

I have looked and searched, and while there are some [confusing] apparent answers - I really dont think there is a definitive one on this subject.

So my work in progress cpg is at www.theartgallery.co.uk/cpg149

The intention would be to have if you check , the artist Emma Knowles and some text below - without the table above saying category, albums and files - as well as removing the albums and files data that appears to the right of the artist text. Likewise each artist [category] would not have the albums and files data to the right of the artist text.

Any ideas?

copy this to themes/your theme/theme.php if you already don't have it
Code: [Select]
$template_cat_list = <<<EOT
<!-- BEGIN header -->
        <tr>
                <td class="tableh1" width="80%" align="left"><b>{CATEGORY}</b></td>
                <td class="tableh1" width="10%" align="center"><b>{ALBUMS}</b></td>
                <td class="tableh1" width="10%" align="center"><b>{PICTURES}</b></td>
        </tr>
<!-- END header -->
<!-- BEGIN catrow_noalb -->
        <tr>
                <td class="catrow_noalb" colspan="3"><table border="0"><tr><td align="left">{CAT_THUMB}</td><td align="left"><span class="catlink"><b>{CAT_TITLE}</b></span>{CAT_DESC}</td></tr></table></td>
        </tr>
<!-- END catrow_noalb -->
<!-- BEGIN catrow -->
        <tr>
                <td class="catrow" align="left"><table border="0"><tr><td>{CAT_THUMB}</td><td><span class="catlink"><b>{CAT_TITLE}</b></span>{CAT_DESC}</td></tr></table></td>
                <td class="catrow" align="center">{ALB_COUNT}</td>
                <td class="catrow" align="center">{PIC_COUNT}</td>
        </tr>
        <tr>
            <td class="tableb" colspan="3">{CAT_ALBUMS}</td>
        </tr>
<!-- END catrow -->
<!-- BEGIN footer -->
        <tr>
                <td colspan="3" class="tableh1" align="center"><span class="statlink"><b>{STATISTICS}</b></span></td>
        </tr>
<!-- END footer -->
<!-- BEGIN spacer -->
        <img src="images/spacer.gif" width="1" height="7" border="" alt="" /><br />
<!-- END spacer -->

EOT;
to remove category-albums-files section you need to remove the code between <!-- BEGIN header --> & <!-- END header --> tags so your code should be look like this:
Code: [Select]
$template_cat_list = <<<EOT
<!-- BEGIN header -->

<!-- END header -->
<!-- BEGIN catrow_noalb -->
        <tr>
                <td class="catrow_noalb" colspan="3"><table border="0"><tr><td align="left">{CAT_THUMB}</td><td align="left"><span class="catlink"><b>{CAT_TITLE}</b></span>{CAT_DESC}</td></tr></table></td>
        </tr>
<!-- END catrow_noalb -->
<!-- BEGIN catrow -->
        <tr>
                <td class="catrow" align="left"><table border="0"><tr><td>{CAT_THUMB}</td><td><span class="catlink"><b>{CAT_TITLE}</b></span>{CAT_DESC}</td></tr></table></td>
                <td class="catrow" align="center">{ALB_COUNT}</td>
                <td class="catrow" align="center">{PIC_COUNT}</td>
        </tr>
        <tr>
            <td class="tableb" colspan="3">{CAT_ALBUMS}</td>
        </tr>
<!-- END catrow -->
<!-- BEGIN footer -->
        <tr>
                <td colspan="3" class="tableh1" align="center"><span class="statlink"><b>{STATISTICS}</b></span></td>
        </tr>
<!-- END footer -->
<!-- BEGIN spacer -->
        <img src="images/spacer.gif" width="1" height="7" border="" alt="" /><br />
<!-- END spacer -->

EOT;
and to removing thumbnails and file data you should go
admin mode => config => Album list view =>Show first level album thumbnails in categories and set it to No

Hello Sami thaks for you reply - it seems I have already done this - what you have proposed removes the sorting option in the table - yes??

If you go to www.theartgallery.co.uk/cpg149

what I want to do is remove the grey table that has the headings CATEGORY ALBUMS FILES - I do not wish toi remove the text below which is the cat description - but I do wish to remove the data to the right that has the Albums total and files total.

Consequently , if you scroll down , the other categories [artists] would only show the category description and not the albums files data to the right.

Cheers
