IPB 2.1.7 + CPG 1.4.9 Bridging
« on: September 11, 2006, 10:27:35 pm »

I have the following issue when trying to bridge Coppermine and IPB 2.1.7:
No error message other than attempting to login to Coppermine after Bridging.  Yes, I have the cookies set for my BBS and Coppermine, but nowhere am I able to tell Coppermine where the cookie is.  After bridging, I logout of my forums, then login to the forums, then go to Coppermine, and it still shows me as logged out.  When I click the login button, it takes me to my forums login page, I login once again, and attempt to go to Coppermine and it still shows me as a guest.

I have also read through several forums attempting to try various different things that were suggested and absolutely none of them have worked.

Coppermine install: http://www.titansofwar.us/gallery/
Forum install: http://www.titansofwar.us/forums/
Coppermine version: cpg1.4.9
Forum version: 2.1.7
Test user account: cp_test_account / cp_test_account

BridgeManager settings:
Forum URL:  ttp://www.titansofwar.us/forums
Relative path to your BBS's config file:  ../forums/
Use post-based groups?:  0

I added the user to Coppermine, not my forums.  I've taken care of that now.

You have set your cookie domain to titansofwar.us/forums/

This is not a valid value since it is not a domain. .titansofwar.us would be the best option here.

I tried that already... I will attempt again.  I set it to what I had it as before... and what you've suggested... It has not worked.

After I login, is it suppose to be using this URL?

Code: [Select]
http://www.titansofwar.us/forums/index.php?http://www.titansofwar.us/gallery/

And, still unable to login after installing the bridge.

I'm still not having any luck at all...

However, when I was looking through the invisionboard20.inc.php file, I noticed that it was missing the end tag for PHP...

Code: [Select]

I felt that Coppermine was too much of a hassle to use... I appreciate you helping... I've since deleted Coppermine and deleted the DB for it and went with something a lot more simple to use that has more functionality and functions that work  like they say that they do.

Even after creating an album, and a category, I was still unable to upload a file and I am admin.
The bridging never did work, and was unable to use the gallery after bridging, even after following all the FAQ's and assistant to the others that you have provided.

I am sure that Coppermine is a good piece of software, but it just wasn't meant to be for me.

My apologies.
