Permanent link in theme.php

The permanent link problem has been discussed here many times I know, but I can't seem to find a solution to my quest.

To see what I have done so far Have a look here. I edited theme.php and put the note right above the image to hopefully stop new users from using the URL in the address bar.

My question is, is it possible for me to put some coding in theme.php to get the permanent link to go where my note is? I understand how theme.php works, I'm just not very good at coding PHP.

I've played with it for a couple of days with no luck.

I've continued to play with it and still can't get it to work. Can someone help? Pretty please?  ;D
