Can't add new albums, no new thumbnails

I upgraded from 1.2.6 (I think...) to 1.4.8 and now I can't add albums or galleries. I was wondering if anyone else had this problem.

Also, I FTP'd pictures to my web server and now their thumbnails don't show up. I checked the path to ImageMagick and it's exactly where it's supposed to be. I did the check to see that ImageMagick installed correctly and it said that it's fine

Any ideas? Need more info? Thanks.
