I wanted so that, the images show on the album, but links to another site. is it possible?
so it doesnt get physically uploaded onto my server, but rather just direct link from another[like from ym sponsors site.]

If your question is "does coppermine support remote storage?", then the answer is "no". If you need the (expected) default behaviour of thumbnails changed, you'll need to edit the code accordingly.

You missed the important part of my posting:

Either code this on your own or hire someone to do this for you if you need the modification badly. I won't look into this, particularly not for cpg1.3.x
