Switching hosts
« on: August 24, 2006, 01:52:33 am »

I am switching hosts for my gallery. However, I don't want to have to reupload all my pictures and lose all of the views. Is there a way to do this?

If you can help me, thank you in advance!

Backup all your files (using your FTP app), then backup your database (by creating a dump using mysqldumper or phpMyAdmin). Next, restore your files on your new webhost. Then restore your database tables on your new webhost. Nearly done, edit include/config.inc.php to reflect your database changes. Finally, go to your coppermine config and enter your changed URL and email address - done. Has been asked before often, please search before posting in the future.
