I've got 2 new registered users that have created themselves their own galleries that I would like to remove. I've gone into group admin and changed the priviliges for their group to not be able to have personal galleries, but they are still showing.

Is there a way to remove them as they have no files in them or just remove the section on my home page?

you need to delete (move) everything in the user pics cat including the albums

I've just gone into categories and I only have the default 'no category' along with user galleries in there.

I can click on move into the 'no category' but they still show as 2 user galleries available.

you're not supposed to delete any category but all albums in the user category (user galleries)

if these albums are empty they do not display but the user category will. Read here how to delete them anyway
