I know I am being stupid here, but I just can't get my head around this....

1. I want anyone to be able to view the 10 main Categories. (Which anyone can see here: http://216.69.130.253/gallery/)
2. I want people to Register to post to my galleries.
3. I want Registered users to be able to upload photos.
4. I want every photo to require Admin approval before it can be seen by anyone.

This seems pretty simple, but I have gotten myself all confused about the relationship between Users, Albums, and Categories.

Right now, when anyone tries to post a photo, they are told "Sorry there is no album where you are allowed to upload files". (Like the guy in this post http://forum.coppermine-gallery.net/index.php?topic=34681.0 )


I have been through the documentation and the Forums, but I am just bashing my head against the wall on this one... I can't figure out what Coppermine wants me to do...

Can someone help me get my head around this?

There is a ONE ISSUE PER THREAD policy here , next time please respact
this is simple
1- You (as an admin) need to create 10 main category with category manager
2 & 3- As a default only register users can upload picture (can be set under group manager)
4- you need to enable admin approval under Group manager

And your register user can post to public album if you let them (options under album properties) and also can upload under their personal album (they need to create it first)

There is only one issue... "nobody can upload photos".

I was unclear in my original post... only Step 3 didn't work. Everything else worked.

OH!!!  I finally got it!!!

When I check the Properties for the "Public Upload Gallery", I need to check the "Visitors can upload files" check box.  I thought "Visitors" meant "Guests".  I was looking for a "Registered Users can upload files" checkbox....
