Windows XP Publish to Web (P2W) Problem with PHP-Nuke
« on: October 08, 2003, 08:14:04 am »

I've been trying like crazy to get the xp_publish.php module to work with the PHP-Nuke version of CPG1.1D, but for the life of me, I jest dun see where I'm failing.

It starts out fine and generates the REG file okay.  But it's getting hung up after you enter your login detals for P2W it errors out with:
The wizard could not connect to the Internet, or the Web service returned a wizard page that is not valid

To try again, click Back.

To close this wizard, click Cancel.

I'd love to get this thing working so other CPG-4-Nuke users running WinXP can use it too.  (But even better is if it could be made compatable for all CPG incarnations.)

Link to a TXT version of the modded script:

NOTE: I removed the starting <?php tag to keep browsers (okay, MSIE) from running the script instead of displaying the code.

AFAIK, it doesn't work.  I found instructions at Microsoft on how to write the reg file and use XP publish for your personal website, but I was unable to get it working.

I'm not sure exactly where the problem lies, but when I get time I'll look into it again and see if I can make some headway.  Until then, don't pull your hair out, it just doesn't work. :(

As a side note, it works fine for the regular version of CPG.  (Just in case someone not using the nuke version stumbles across this posting)
