Restricting albums to certain registered groups of users

Hi,

Would like to know if there's anyway I can allow some albums to be visible (ie listed) and the viewable only to certain groups of registered users? For those registered users not allowed to see the album, they are not even aware that those albums exists, ie they are not listed when the users logged in and they cannot see the thumbnails of those albums as well.

Ideally, what I would like is to group different registered users under different groups in admin panel and then assign them access / visibility to certain albums at group level instead of individually. I am aware of the album password feature but it does not serve my needs completely as the albums will still be listed and I must email to those users who are allowed to access the albums the common album password.

Thanks for the guide. It does indeed solves my requirements of restricting album to ony certain registered group of users. Sorry, as a new user, I am still not too familar with the system yet.

Glad that your issue is solved. In the future, read the docs before posting (it's mandatory, you agreed to do so when you signed up).
