I think (hope) this is going to be my last post as I now have everything working as I had hoped.

Here's the problem.  When using my theme that I built from scratch using the sample folder, I have somehow killed the thumbnail generator during the Batch Add files as well as the little icons that display when you upload images saying if things have worked or not.  The images just show up as the little red X.  I switched themes back to classic and they work just fine.  I have attached a zip with my theme folder and would really appreciate any help you can offer where I went wrong.  Thank you!

Try taking out the blank lines at the end of theme.php
