Creating albums for users
« on: June 26, 2006, 05:16:20 pm »

Hi there,

I'm kinda new on the coppermine thingie. I have the following problem.
I would like to create albums for my users so they don't have to do this. But somehow I can't get the permissions "user_album <-> user" right. Could someone help me on this one?
So lets say I have "user_1" and I want to create a "album_1" for that user. So the user can upload his files into his album. And that for some users.
The creating is no problem, but settings the permissions on album_1 for that user_1... I can't find it.

Thnx for all the help.

Got it.
I didn't allow the "visitors" to upload. Sorry, but the naming of "visitors" isn't realy clear. I thought that Visitors = guests. I was wrong in that assumption.
Maybe the naming "visitors" should change in something like "registerd users". that would clarify :)

That would be confusing for people that do allow guests to upload. Best idea is to read the fuller explanations given in the manual.
