Topic: Newbie : can't run the install.. (Read 2407 times)

Hi all,
Here is the story. I read everywhere that coppermine was excellent, so I decided to jump, even if I'm far from being a web specialist.
The aim is to create a basic website, let's say with 10 pages, and a photo gallery. I then bought a domain name+host at 1and1.fr (I'm french).
I followed carefully the steps, upload the files and folders, changed the permissions for "album" and "include". I also have renamed the coppermine folder to "gallery". I tried then to run www.pleine puissance.com/gallery/install.php, but nothing happens. The message on the screen is something like "Error404:the url is valid, but the required document does not exist on the server". For the moment, there's nothing on the website, except a folder named "logs". When going to my 1and1 account, I have created a mysql database. I know it's created now, but to be honest, I don't really know what it really means...
Sorry for my poor knowledge in that matter, but I thought it was easier...
What did I do wrong?
