server does not allow uploads

Hello all:

I am running a windows xp box with apache 2.048, PHP 4.3.4 and MYSQL

I have everything set as instructed but i receive these error messages:

your version of php does not support gd library or

your server does not allow uploads

any help would be greatly appreciated

sorry, this is not the board "how to set up your server". Without proper information it's impossible to help.

Hint:
check php.ini - is gd enabled? Is file_upload allowed?
check apache conf: file_upload?
