MySQL error was : Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/tmp/mysq

Hi,

Searched for this error and couldn't find so hope I am not repeating a board.

When I am carrying out the initial steps on install.php, I complete all the details as required, hit Let's go and get this error:

Could not create a mySQL connection, please check the SQL values entered

MySQL error was : Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/tmp/mysql.sock' (2)

Any ideas, thanks in advance.

the error message is quite common and has been asked for very often already (search results). This is not something that can be fixed in Coppermine, you'll have to ask your webhost for support.
