Upgrading issue... Please don't laugh :)
« on: May 22, 2006, 09:04:49 pm »

Ok, my fault, don't laugh but I'm still using 1.4.1 beta. Following the upgrade procedures described on the manual I only get a white page. I've double checked everything (I think), backed up the albums directory (actually I didn't copy anything over that directory as explained), anycontent and config files, and after copying the new files I brought back the anycontent to the gallery root and the config file to the include directory, then I ran the update.php script. It seems everything was ok, some of the tables was updated some not, but no error message occurred. Tried to open my gallery and only a white page is displayed.

After my frustrated attempt on upgrading I copied the whole backup back to the directory and my gallery is working ok again.

Please, what I'm doing wrong?
Many thanks for your help.

Check that the files on the server got overwritten.

Thanks for your reply TranzNDance. I downloaded a full backup to my local machine, did the upgrade there and despite some template errors I have to workout everything went just fine. I'll work on my gallery locally until I have everything the way I want and only after that I'll upload the whole stuff again.
Once again thanks for your help.
Cheers,
Guilherme
