Removing options from gallery

Could someone kindly advise what file and code sections I need to remove to remove options such as "upload picture", "top rated" etc from the main gallery.
The reason is that my gallery will be used for my own pictures only and will not be used to allow visitors to upload. I want to make the menu options as simple as possile.

It has been a long time now since I did my little bit here, and have done no coding or any other such stuff since. I'm back to being a noob here
