Restrict users to upload into certain albums?
« on: May 17, 2006, 04:51:14 am »

Hello,

I just launched my gallery www.wirefolio.com. And the first new user that uploaded, the images did not go where I expected. I created 3 categories environments, characters and objects. This new user created his own album and added his images there. Is there a way to have the user directed to only be able to upload to the categories I created?

Cheers,

W

p.s just seen permissions folder, so this might fall underneath that.

Go to your Groups manager.  Turn OFF the personal gallery.  And turn ON public albums upload.  Then you set which public albums allow uploads.  Your user uploaded to a personal gallery.

This is in the documentation linked on your admin toolbar or at the top of this page.

Also, your gallery is version 1.4.2.  You are strongly recommended to upgrade to the current version 1.4.5 to take care of 2 important security fixes among other minor fixes.
