Are databases of 1.3.2 and 1.4.5 compatible?
« on: May 13, 2006, 09:47:59 am »

Hi all!

I've searched if this question was asked before but could not find anything.
So, my old cpg1.3.2 had some annoying errors after I moved it to an other host. I decided to upgrade to cpg1.4.5 but that did not work because there were some permissions problems. Since I don't have that much time to search for the error I installed the cpg1.4.5 in a separate folder.
Now I want to copy the SQL's of the 1.3.2 database simpy into the 1.4.5 database. Is that possible? Are they compatible?

Thanks for any answer! :)

Since I don't have enough time to write a detailed response, my answer is: either upgrade as suggested or try out your method (that is not recommended) and find out if it works as well.
